Volunteering is a great way to provide meaningful service to our community and to meet people from all walks of life.
Develop skills, share your talents and make a difference in your community. Library volunteers help kids and teens with homework, tutor adult English learners, assist librarians with programs and events and more. If no volunteer roles are listed, there are no openings at this time.
We are seeking volunteers who can support ESOL and adult basic education learners with the following:
This position is available at the Lake City Branch on Saturdays from 1:00-3:00pm.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and able to tutor diverse adult learners on a drop-in basis. Experience tutoring English language learners is preferred but not required (training is provided). We ask for a commitment of at least 6 months.

Help support story time at the Magnolia Branch! This volunteer will set up and take down tables, chairs, and other materials and greet families as they arrive.
The program is on Friday mornings and volunteer support is needed from 10am-12pm.
Volunteers must be 18 or older. We ask for a commitment of at least four months. Please note that volunteers may not perform storytelling.
