This article appeared in the Seattle Times on February 25, 2005. It highlight's Wing Luke's legacy as a prominent community leader. Luke was the first Asian American elected to office in King County and the first person of color to be elected to Seattle City Council. Luke died in a plane crash in 1965. The Wing Luke Museum was opened in his honor in 1967.
