We offer in-person and virtual tutoring for adults. Drop in and meet one-on-one with a tutor for help with English language learning, citizenship or basic skills or get free virtual tutoring from Tutor.com with a Library card number. Available in English, Spanish (español) and Vietnamese (ti?ng Vi?t).
In-person Tutoring
Drop in and meet with a volunteer tutor one-on-one or in a small group for help with basic skills for English, writing, math, citizenship interview and exam, and high school completion.
- Learn basic skills: English language (including ESOL), reading, writing, and math.
- Work towards educational goals: high school diploma, GED, college application essay and placement tests, and college degree.
- Prepare for US citizenship: interview and 100 civics questions.
Virtual Tutoring
On-demand, online tutoring is free for adult learners with a Library card. Get help with core subjects including math, science, English, social studies, English as a Second Language, and Microsoft Office. Live English and Spanish tutors are available from 2 to 10 p.m. daily. Vietnamese tutors are available from 4 to 7 p.m.
